This Friday, August 29, at 7:00 p.m., Matices Art Gallery (Cruz del Defensor 241) will present the exhibition "Order in Chaos " by Sebastián Boesmi, as part of Art Week Pinta Asunción. The exhibition features sculpture, painting, drawing, and video art, centered around the sculpture "Piano Bull ," a unique, large-format piece made of bioplastic and ceramic, coated with fiberglass, and hand-painted and lacquered. Smaller bronze works from the same series will also be on display. Admission is free.

"It is an exhibition that brings together works developed in an artistic investigation that addresses concepts such as transformation, identity, and the tension between nature and artificiality," says Javier Díaz-Guardiola, a Spanish journalist specializing in contemporary art and author of the exhibition text.

The artist, for his part, points out that his work "explores the hybrid, that which escapes a rigid definition. It is based on the combination of materials that dialogue between the organic and the artificial, generating a tension that is not limited to contrasts, but seeks to find points of connection."

The exhibition includes a series of paintings created between 2023 and 2025, video art, and the project "Clandestine Curatorships ," for which Boesmi roamed the streets of downtown Asunción in search of graffiti to translate into neon. "I want people to look at the walls of downtown Asunción, to pay attention to their surroundings, because we're on our phones in the car and we don't see the situation the city is in. So, in my exhibition, my work is displayed in neon, and next to it is a photo of the graffiti, so that the viewer knows that this comes from the street," says the artist.

The exhibition can be visited until September 20th.
