ABC COLOR: BOESMI EXHIBITS ITS "ORDER IN CHAOS" 2025
Last Friday, Sebastián Boesmi opened the exhibition “Order in Chaos,” which will remain at Matices Art Gallery (Cruz del Defensor 241).
Visual artist Sebastián Boesmi, who currently resides in Spain, returned to Paraguay to present “ Order in Chaos ,” an exhibition that brings together drawings, paintings, sculptures, and video art. One of the unique features of this exhibition, on display at the Matices gallery, is a “Piano Bull” over a meter tall.
This exhibition brings together works in different formats and techniques, but one of the great attractions is the sculpture of the “ Piano Bull ”, which is 117 centimeters high, 130 centimeters long and 80 centimeters wide.
“ It is a unique piece, made of plastic and ceramic, covered with fiberglass, hand-painted and lacquered, which gives it a shine and a mirror effect ,” said the artist, who has developed a good part of his career in Argentina and Paraguay.
The piece was brought by plane from Madrid, Spain, and the exhibition also includes other sculptures such as the smaller “Piano Toro”, made of resin, chromed bronze, polished and chromed.
The exhibition text was written by Spanish journalist Javier Capa, director of ABC Cultural in Spain, who highlighted that this exhibition brings together works developed in an artistic investigation that addresses concepts such as transformation, identity, and the tension between nature and artificiality.
For his part, Boesmi stated that his work “ explores the hybrid, that which escapes a rigid definition .” “It is based on a combination of materials that create a dialogue between the organic and the artificial, generating a tension that is not limited to contrasts, but seeks to find points of connection,” he added.
The exhibition includes paintings made between 2023 and 2025, and the project “ Clandestine Curatorships ”, for which Boesmi walked the streets of downtown Asunción in search of graffiti to bring to the canvas.
“Through this work, I want people to look at the walls of downtown Asunción, the ones all around them, because we're always on our phones and we don't see the situation the city is in. So, in the exhibition, my work is displayed alongside a photo of the graffiti, so that the viewer knows that it comes from the street,” Boesmi explained.
Another unique feature of this exhibition is its accessibility for people with visual impairments. Using NaviLens codes, they can access the curatorial text and commentary to understand and explore the artworks.
The artist will also give some free workshops for children as part of the exhibition schedule.

They offer a free showing of “ Florania ”
“ Florania ”, the play written and directed by Erenia López, will have a free performance today for the public at the “Ignacio A. Pane” Municipal Theater (Pdte. Franco and Chile). It will be at 7:00 p.m., within the framework of the activities for the “Guarania Week.”
The play is being performed by the Roque Sánchez-García Pastor Theatre Company. There will also be a free performance for public schools at 9:00 a.m. and another on September 8th at 3:00 p.m.
The performance, premiered last March, seeks to pay tribute to José Asunción Flores within the framework of the centenary of the creation of the guarania.
The work seeks to represent on stage the creative background that characterized Flores, without neglecting relevant aspects of his life such as his childhood, his time in the Police band and his friendship with the poet Manuel Ortiz Guerrero.
These performances of “Florania” are part of the Primavera Teatral 2025 project. This initiative is part of the Teatro Abierto program, which was created through collaboration between the Municipal Theater Management and the Philharmonic Society of Asunción (SFA).
